We know it can be a busy time of year with many holidays and projects wrapping up. We are also approaching the one-year anniversary mark of Israel's brutal assault on Gaza last winter. While we have seen our movement grow significantly in the past year -- with major victories, especially within the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement -- we must step up our work for justice in Palestine and the greater region.
Please join us at these upcoming actions -- details are below!

Protest AIPAC's Annual SF Dinner
Tuesday, December 15th
5 PM
Hilton Hotel (333 O'Farrell St, San Francisco -- map)
AIPAC seeks to build US support for Israeli policies, policies of war and endless military occupation. It supports massive annual subsidies by US taxpayers of the Israeli military as it continues to control the lives of millions of Palestinians.
In October, AIPAC supported a congressional resolution (H.Res. 867) that sought to quash official United Nations inquiries into Israel's conduct during the war on Gaza last winter. The 22 day military onslaught brought a terrible toll to the 1.5 million people of Gaza, killing over a thousand people including hundreds of children, wounding thousands more, and destroying much of what was left of the civilian infrastructure to care for those that survived. Water treatment plants were damaged. Schools destroyed. A University bombed. Large Food facilities bulldozed into oblivion. It was clearly an act of punishing the whole civilian population. Yet AIPAC has sought, with considerable political success, to get congressional backing to end all legitimate UN Inquiries that will hold Israel accountable for its clear war crimes against the Palestinian people.
AIPAC lobbies for Congress to ignore Israel's violations of past agreements with the US and other nations as Israel continues its illegal building program in the West Bank.
AIPAC is also very active in supporting a confrontational approach with Iran, supporting sanctions and supporting threats of military intervention. At the same time, AIPAC opposes rational approaches to resolving issues regarding nuclear weapons in the Middle East, including insisting that Israel become part of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, despite Israel's massive nuclear arsenal. AIPAC also opposes the concept of a nuclear-free Middle East.

WHY YOU SHOULD SUPPORT THIS IMPORTANT CAMPAIGN
Much of the world stands by as Gazans sift through the rubble, while hundreds of thousands are still homeless and without basic services such as piped drinking water. It has been one full year later, and absolutely no progress has been made. In fact the situation is more dire than ever. The people of Gaza are literally being starved of basic food and needs; while caged in and locked out from the rest of the world. When governments of the world fail to act, we the people must. Please join us! : Email: GazaPalestine1948@gmail.com with any questions, or for more information.
*The International Coalition to End the Illegal Siege of Gaza formed after Israel's 22-day assault on Gaza in winter 2008-09. We are a diverse coalition that represents all faiths and people of conscience, and focused on human rights in conformance with international law.
