O.J. Simpson sentenced to long prison term
Ex-NFL star apologizes to judge moments before his sentencing
He choked back tears as he told her: “I didn’t want to steal anything from anyone. ... I’m sorry, sorry.”
The judge said several times that her sentence in the Las Vegas case had nothing to do with Simpson’s 1995 acquittal in the slaying of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
“I’m not here to try and cause any retribution or any payback for anything else,” Glass said.
'We are thrilled'
But Goldman’s father, Fred Goldman, and sister, Kim, said they were delighted with the sentence.
“We are thrilled, and it’s a bittersweet moment,” Fred Goldman said. “It was satisfying seeing him in shackles like he belongs.”
Simpson said he and five other men were simply trying to retrieve sports memorabilia and other mementos when he stormed a Las Vegas hotel room occupied by two dealers on Sept. 13, 2007. He insisted the items, which included his first wife’s wedding ring, had been stolen from him.
But the judge emphasized that it was a violent confrontation in which at least one gun was drawn, and she said someone could have been shot. She said the evidence was overwhelming, with the planning, the confrontation itself and the aftermath all recorded on audio or videotape.
Series of sentences
Glass, a no-nonsense judge known for tough sentences, imposed such a complex series of consecutive and concurrent sentences that even many lawyers watching the case were confused as to how much time Simpson got.
Simpson could serve up to 33 years, according to Elana Roberto, the judge’s clerk.
In state prison, he will remain in his own cell protected from the general prison population because of his celebrity.
Simpson’s lawyer suggested again that his client was a victim of payback for his acquittal in Los Angeles.
“It really made us all aware that despite our best efforts, it’s very difficult to separate the California case from the Nevada case,” attorney Yale Galanter said.
Some people who followed the case said justice had finally caught up with Simpson.
“You do things and you’ve got to expect karma to come around,” said Greg Wheatley, 32, of Los Angeles."
Judge Jackie Glass is Jewish. So are the Goldmans. The sentence O.J. Simpson received is unbelievably draconian and I won't be at all surprised it her sentencing of O.J. Simpson is tossed out for the judge's obvious Jewish bias.
The inability to forgive is highly prevalent in Jewish religion and life. The only ethnic group in the world who has experienced a holocaust that has made Gentiles pay with prison sentences for even doubting a statistical number of Jewish dead people. There was great reason why God brought Jesus into the Jewish line in order to destroy this pathologically ill religion that touts itself as being so morally superior to everyone else's and replace it with true forgiveness of sins, without which people are bound into the vicious cycle of endless revenge.

No. Stephen. The entire premise here is wrong.
This case is not related to Simpson butchering his wife and the Goldman's son and brother.
Simpson is a bad man. He keeps doing bad things.
It has nothing to do with Jewish-ness.

Oh Rose, I can always count on you to hold revenge highest in your mind when it comes to those society label's "bad", e.g., your inability to see the injustice done to Palestinians by Israelis because Jews have been so successful at painting Palestinians "bad" in their control over American media, e.g, your lack of understanding how justice may have been totally forgotten in the draconian sentences of those two Mexican-Americans found growing pot in our National Forest, as if you were completely naive about many "good" white kids also growing pot in National Forests. My pot garden years ago in the dim dark ages was raided by CAMP because a couple of white naive growers had their little garden on State Park land, about 50 ft away from my garden on private property but right next to State Park land. But you buy into "Mexican-Americans"= Mexican mafia, (we don't know this) and so no comment on their sentencing which reflects our racism. Just drive by the con camp workers on the highway when they are working and you will see the racist "justice" system at work. Few white faces but plenty of darker skinned ones.
I'm not saying O.J.'s a saint but I am saying this judge is way out of line for using her bench power to inflict revenge against a Jewish family. The fact that the judge is Jewish should have disqualified her from the case as only Jewish revenge against the Goldman's makes any sense in her sentence. Jesus, Rose, get religion please and stop supporting revenge justice. Revenge does not work. It only recreates the gangster mentality where gangsters rule society through fear of their "revenge".
If Jackie Glass wasn't Jewish the sentence is still unbelievable harsh given that so many murderers are out in 7 years and government killers, like President Bush and his neo-Con gang (most all Jewish btw) go completely unpunished with the blood of thousands of innocents on their hands.
Try reading the Gospels sometime soon, Rose. It's Jesus' birthday coming up and those parts where Jesus tells Christians to forgive sinners their sin has a depth of meaning you need to learn which is thwarting the eye-for-an-eye revenge teaching of Jews. You know what Gandhi said about those who follow the eye-for-an-eye making the whole world blind. Gangs and former autocrats always used revenge against any perceived threats to their rule to squelch dissent and humanity.
There is no god Stephen. Give up the act. We all know your an atheist. An atheist who likes to draw attention to himself.
If I were an atheist and wanted to draw attention to myself, I should be claiming my Jewish heritage where belonging to the Cult overrides everything else, including God. Does anyone know of any other religion on earth where one can be an atheist without any belief in God and yet still be a Jew in good standing? I can't think of any except the religion of atheism which truly is a belief system that is utterly dependent on "belief" in no God, an ideology that can never be proven and so many have tried.
Reality keeps throwing atheists for a loop as now even top scientists abandon this faith in a Spirit-less world, an old idea that is always gets clobbered by the massive number of spiritual experiences reported by stubborn human beings whose brains are not atrophied and lack spiritual receptors found in normal people.
